Well this ride was an adventure http://app.strava.com/rides/3239855

My buddy Buck called me and said "Hey you wanna go riding tomorrow its supposed to get up to 56 deg. I was like sure lets go! Well I woke up at 8 for the 9 am ride and it was 28 deg, frost and ice on the roads. Well me being stupid i got dressed in about 100 layers of clothes and took off to meet Buck on Cedar Creek Grade. We both decided it would be ok to ride but we had to be careful

The first hour or so was freezing until it warmed up to about 43 for the day. So much for a 56 deg day. OO and Buck says we will do the Short version of Fetzers Gap.

We dodged a few icy spots until the road thawed and TONS of gravel from a recent snow. These to factors keep our speed way down especially on decents. The hills kept my speed down otherwise. I was really crying for lower gears on this ride. After this I am gonna debating dropping to a smaller one up front , but then again i did not stop so i may stick with it.

I also got chased by 3-4 dogs, One set I was doing 25 mph and i see two black streaks catching up to me out of the corner of my eye I cranked it to 30 before i could lose them. I thought i was a gonner. Funny thing is they never chased Buck at all.

Overall 53.3 miles- So much for a shorter route-the long one is 63..lol
5000 feet of climing-(Stava says over 6 but its wrong)
    12.3 average

I told buck the next time he calls and asks me to go for a ride I am gonna hang up on him..lol ( I hate riding in cold weather!)
