2013 Smoky Mtn. Recumbent Rally

Sounds like my slow might have company. Since I live in the Low Country, I am not sure I know what a hill is anymore, but I know how to walk if I have to, so all should be well!

 

There is no cell phone reception in Cades Cove, but the Park has a bike patrol that can offer all kinds of assistance. On all the other rides there is cell phone coverage.

 

Yeah, don't really need cell service in the Cove. And if a bear takes after me, all I havta do is ride faster than the other guy

 

In other words, you're glad to see several slowpokes will be riding...

Dave at one time was one of us, but went Corsa and rides with 140 pound
unreal retired engine-ear. I would be surprised if the Corsa gang show.

Are you bringing a Crank Forward. I'll have the RANS Mini.

 

Because there is no cell phone reception in Cades Cove I'll bring a pair of walkie talkies. If y'all have walkie talkies, bring 'em along.

I will post the link to YouTube. It is currently at about 26 minutes. A little long, and just a bit shakey because it was my cell phone, and probably won't find music for that long , but something to remember, or someone else that may want to go next year can see some of the fun we had.

Smoky Mountain Recumbent Rally 2013 Video

Here's a combination of pics posted, with my pics and video. The video and my pic were done with my cell phone, so the quality isn't great, but not bad either.
It's about 29 minutes long. Enjoy. Wish I would have had Bill's song about bents that he sang Saturday night, but was too late with the cell phone to catch it.

Just to let you know, that when YouTube stabilized the video, it messed up my subtitles on the bottom of the videos. So the video is stabilized, but the subtitles are dancing around a little. Annoying, but video is a little bit better. Just another trade off. Enjoy

question for everyone.....I rode with a man whose first name was Ron and he was from Chicago. He had a Cruzbike silvio but I cannot for the life of me remember his screen name. When I got up to leave Sunday he had already left. I was wondering if anyone knows his username? I was wanting to say thanks for the fun and maybe hook up on facebook. Thanks.
